Clarence Clarke is a British football player who played as a forward for several clubs in the Premier League and the Scottish Premier League. He has also been a member of the England national team and was named among the best young players in Europe by The Guardian newspaper.

Clarke made his debut for the England national team in November 1996 against Switzerland. In that game, he scored a goal which helped his country to win 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw. He later became one of the most successful strikers in the English league, scoring over 20 goals per season between 1997 and 2008.

In 2008, Clarke moved to Scotland to join Celtic, where he was quickly promoted to the first team. He then spent two years with the club, helping them reach the Scottish Cup final in 2009 before moving on to Wigan Athletic.

During his time at Wigan, Clarke had a significant impact on the team. He scored 35 goals in just 36 appearances during his time there, including 11 goals in the Scottish Premiership. However, it wasn't until 2012 that Clarke broke through to become one of the top scorers in the league.

In January 2013, Clarke signed for English Championship side Bristol Rovers on a free transfer. He made his debut for the club in a 1-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest on New Year's Day, but only managed to score once in 10 appearances for the club.

After leaving Bristol Rovers, Clarke returned to the Premier League with Crystal Palace, where he was a key figure during their rise to the top of the table. He scored 21 goals in 34 appearances for the Eagles, and helped them to achieve promotion to the Premier League in 2015.

Clarke's success in the Premier League has not gone unnoticed. He has won numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, including the Footballer of the Year award in 2010. He has also been praised for his leadership qualities and for his ability to make difficult decisions when under pressure.

Despite his success, Clarke remains humble about his achievements and often speaks about his love for the game and the people who play it. He is known for his passion for the sport and his unwavering commitment to the game, which he sees as a way to make a positive impact on society.
